BioResearch Funding at UMich Provides Lab Supplier Market Opportunity

Written by BCI Staff | Thu, Jun 28, 2012
With  bioresearch funding and expenditures in excess of $1 Billion, research is central to all 19 schools and colleges at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, so whenever a list of new funding recipients for a particular grant program is announced, we know we’ll see U-M investigators right there. That’s the case with a recent NIH genomic research measure that awarded $1.2M to U-M’s Dr. Mats Ljungman, a radiation oncologist who studies the mechanisms of DNA damage-induced gene expression. Get the complete list of awardees for the ENCODE program’s latest funding round in a recent UMich Science Market Update article.

In addition, the University of Michigan School of Public Health received 19 grants totaling $33.7 million in ARRA stimulus funding from the National Institutes of Health for projects relating to genome sequencing.

The Bioresearch Product Faire™ Event at U Mich will be held  in Ann Arbor July 11, 2012 for our 12th Annual BioReaearch Product Faire™ tradeshow event, with hundreds of researchers coming from life science divisions all across campus to see what professional lab supplier reps exhibiting at this event  have  that is new and exciting.

If you’re already registered for this big summer show, we look forward to seeing you there (and perhaps at the following day’s Front Line event at Michigan State too). If you’re still on the fence, give us a call and let’s talk about putting your company front and center with Michigan life scientists in July.
