Spotlight on Science Meetings, Conferences and Events brings you information on the following event: Workshop on Neurogenetic Tools: Using Mouse Models

This five day workshop will focus on the use of the innovative tools and methods, specifically in the laboratory mouse, for answering questions of neuron and circuit function and disease mechanisms during neurodegeneration.

 Workshops topics will include:

  • Peripheral and central nervous system disease models
  • Optogenetics
  • Tissue clearing methods
  • CRE/LOX systems
  • Single cell genomics
  • Development of disease models using CRISPR/Cas9
  • Optopatch system
  • Bioinformatic databases and data analysis tools
  • Using viral vectors for gene delivery and tracing
  • Behavioral analysis
