Conference - London, United Kingdom
The meeting, jointly organised by the Nutrition Society and the Royal Society of Medicine, will explore the importance of nutrition in preventing and treating sarcopenia (the loss of skeletal muscle mass,
strength and function) contributing to the onset of frailty, and cachexia (involuntary rapid loss of body weight and muscle mass).
Attendees will learn about current research and clinical perspectives on the impact of skeletal muscle on human health, and how nutrition influences this.
The two day compact programme will include a variety of plenary sessions, Original Communication sessions, the Cuthbertson Medal Lecture and a variety of opportunities for networking for peers.
