Workshop - San Diego, CA, United States

The American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) is hosting a workshop on Bioanalysis for Antibody Drug Conjugate Development. The antibody drug conjugate (ADC) short course presented at the 2012 AAPS National Biotechnology Conference in San Diego showed a critical importance of the analytical techniques used for non-clinical and clinical characterization of ADC and a nontrivial interplay and interdependence of the analytical methodologies with multiple disciplines. The ADC discussion at 2012 AAPS Annual Meeting and Exposition short course revealed a significant unmet need in sharing ADC analytical information and mutual educating amongst scientists of different disciplines working with ADCs

The complexity of ADCs requires using a multi-disciplinary, large/small molecule bioanalytical approach and sophisticated analytical techniques. These topics will also be covered at the workshop:

Analytical techniques used in discovery for ADCs
Pharmaceutical science analytical methodologies used for characterization of the ADC drug substance and drug product
Biotransformation data to understand the fate of ADCs in vivo
 Bioanalytical assays supporting preclinical studies
 Clinical bioanalytical assays
 Immunogenicity assays
