Health Monitoring and Infectious Disease Diagnosis in Laboratory Rodents

Posted on Jul 18, 2012 9:14:00 AM

Symposium - Chicago, IL, United States

IDEXX RADIL™ Bioresearch Seminars on tour: Experts coming to California and Chicago research communities. IDEXX RADIL™ has announced three upcoming symposiums and lunch discussions for the bioresearch community.

Two teams of internationally recognized scientists from IDEXX RADIL™, Drs. Lela Riley and   Robert Livingston, will give presentations about how to protect the integrity of cell lines and animal research in order to answer such important questions as:

      “Are my cell lines contaminated?”

“How do I ensure and protect the integrity of my research?”

“Is there a better way to monitor the health of my research animal colony?”

Infectious disease outbreaks in research animals create unwanted variables in animal-based investigations. Programs that monitor the health of research animals are critical for assurance of the quality of research studies.  This talk will overview approaches to research animal health monitoring and describe the latest technologies that allow comprehensive testing from samples rather than live animals.

Thursday August 2, 2012 (9:30 am – 3 pm)

KCBD Lecture Hall, University of Chicago, Chicago, IL
