Such Advanced Schools are not regular scientific conferences (for a list of all Advanced Schools already sponsored by FAPESP, please see www.fapesp.br/en/7800). Their purpose is to bring together undergraduate and graduate students, as well as young researchers, from Brazil and abroad, to learn about advanced topics in different areas of knowledge.

In the particular case of this “Advanced School on the Present and Future of Bioenergy”, FAPESP will bring together reknown lecturers which are specialists in the different areas that fall within the broad scope of Bioenergy (see preliminary program above). The event will host 120 students from all over the world and there will be opportunities for strong interaction among participants and also to visit research institutions and industries in the state of São Paulo that are actively involved in Bioenergy.
