2014 Workshop on Modern Approaches to High Throughput Sequencing

Written by Stela BCI | Sep 10, 2014 8:42:00 AM

Workshop - Bar Harbor, ME, United States

The high-throughput sequencing (HTS) workshop provides attendees with theoretical and laboratory training in HTS. The laboratory sessions include DNA-seq library preparation and sequencing on an Illumina platform. Significant workshop time is focused on bioinformatics analysis of sequence generated by participants. Human genomic DNA is sequenced and participants learn to analyze HTS data from the quality control stage to sequence variant calling. Attendees will walk away with HTS data, experience with a complete bioinformatics workflow and continued access to a cloud-based analysis pipeline in which they can refine their newly acquired skills.
