When the skin is inflamed its barrier function is highly compromised. It is red, swollen, warm and painful. The pharmaceutical and personal care industries are investing in finding better ways to prevent and address skin inflammation and chronic inflammatory disorders with high prevalence such as Atopic Dermatitis, Psoriasis, Acne and Rosacea.
