Symposium - Groningen, Netherlands

Since the sixties, small interactive meetings featuring leading international researchers in the field of obstructive airway diseases have been held in Groningen under the unassuming title of “Bronchitis”.Bronchitis IX promises to be as exciting and cutting edge as in previous years. Sessions will focus on structural, immunological, epidemiological, environmental, and genetic aspects of obstructive lung diseases. There will also be sessions on paediatric asthma and prevention.

These topics will be presented and discussed by researchers in these areas, and there will be an emphasis on discussion and interaction between all participants. In the past, this format has led to stimulating and inspiring discussions, often generating new insights and hypotheses. During the social programme, participants will have the opportunity to interact with each other in surroundings conducive to thought and enjoyment. Young researchers will have an opportunity to present new data and interact with experts in the field. We are confident that this meeting will be both fruitful and enjoyable, and sincerely look forward to seeing you in Groningen.
