This workshop will introduce biomedical researchers, clinicians, research fellows and graduate students to the basic concepts of bioinformatics and relevant computational tools to perform large-scale genomic data mining. Practical computer sessions will provide participants with the relevant and minimal skills necessary to analyze microarray and next generation sequencing data using open source programs, to access public databases and to visualize and interpret results.
This workshop is applicable to general researchers and postgraduate students who wish to gain practical skills in bioinformatics principles. Partipants with a strong background in any field of biological science (Example, Molecular & Cell Biology) are encouraged to apply.The workshop will be limited to 35 participants only.
