Conference - Big Sky, MT, United States

This FASEB Science Research Conference (SRC) focuses on the molecular mechanisms that govern chromosome segregation and ensure faithful segregation of genetic material during cell division. Major topics include mitotic spindle assembly and microtubule dynamics, quantitative approaches to the understanding of mitotic regulation, cytokinesis, chromosome segregation and aneuploidy, as well as the structure and function of kinetochores and centrosomes. The 2015 FASEB Conference on Mitosis follows on three prior, highly successful meetings. As the major international and multidisciplinary conference devoted to this important field it brings together leading investigators from across the globe. Exciting talks (including a number of oral presentations selected from the abstracts), poster presentations, and recreational activities will provide students and postdoctoral fellows ample opportunities to meet with experts in the field, exchange ideas and foster new collaborations. A number of travel fellowships for students and postdocs will be available. The meeting will also feature panel discussions to help junior colleagues navigate various topics related to careers in science. The program will facilitate cross-talk between multiple disciplines of science, techniques, and skill levels to inspire innovation and top quality science in a research area that is highly relevant to human health and disease.
