Conference - Jena, Germany

MiCom is an annual conference organised by and for Ph.D. students, aiming to foster interdisciplinary discussion in the field of microbial communication between renowned scientists and doctoral researchers. The conference is composed of five sessions that captures the key aspects of microbial interactions: Symbiosis, Pathogenesis, Natural products, Environment, and Systems Biology.
‘Meet the expert’ workshops will be held at the end of each day. This is an opportunity to get some individual attention from the presenter, as well as gain interesting insights to current techniques and approaches.
To bring the conference to a full circle, social events are offered, such as a conference dinner, a city tour and other activities in and around the city of Jena.
