Spotlight on Science Meetings, Conferences and Events brings you information on the following event: ICRS Heritage Summit 2017

The word heritage is referring to important historical events that have a special meaning in a society like the ICRS. In 1997, the ICRS was formed in Fribourg, Switzerland and 10 years earlier for 30 years in October 1987, the first autologous chondrocyte implantation was performed in Gothenburg, Sweden. Those events are important milestones for basic scientist and clinical researchers devoted to the mysteries of cartilaginous tissues and their development, degeneration and repair. We within the ICRS have subsequently wanted to celebrate those birthdays with a special heritage meeting to be held in Gothenburg June 29th-July the 1st 2017 at Gothia Towers, Gothenburg, Sweden. It is a meeting which will focus on the past, present and the future of cartilage science; what have we learned and what we can do for the next 30 years?
