Cancer Risk Assessment Course

The course is organised by the Advanced International Training Programme in Health Risk Assessment at IMM in collaboration with the Doctoral programme Environmental Factors and Health (EFH) at Karolinska Institutet, course number 2467 and the Executive and Professional Education Office at Karolinska Institutet.
Molecular mechanisms for chemical carcinogenesis will be presented. Experimental test models and epidemiological methods to identify carcinogens and to assess the potency of carcinogens will be discussed. Methods and policies used in carcinogen risk assessment will be discussed in connection with group work. The students will perform practical risk assessment in groups.
