Roche - Nature Biotechnology Symposium 2014: Unlocking Cell Transport Barriers to Deliver Large Molecule Therapeutics

Written by BCI Staff | Aug 13, 2014 2:31:00 PM

Symposium - Buonas, Switzerland

Recent years have witnessed rapid advances in our understanding of the molecular mechanisms of membrane translocation and trafficking, active transport, membrane fusion and endosomal release. At the same time, new types of drug delivery systems based on polymers, lipids and conjugates are entering clinical testing with some early promising results. This conference aims to bring together researchers from the fields of drug delivery and cell biology in an effort to understand how molecular understanding of membrane biology may be exploited to facilitate drug distribution, cellular uptake and delivery to cellular targets.
