Nutrition and Healthy Aging

Conference - Newcastle, UK

The Nutrition Society Summer Meeting, titled ‘Nutrition and Healthy Aging', will take place in Newcastle, UK on 15–18 July 2013. The aim of the meeting is to explore the biology of aging, the ways in which nutrition influences the aging process and what nutritional interventions might be employed to enhance healthy aging. Attendees at this meeting will have the opportunity to hear the latest ideas and research findings from world-class scientists and to network with colleagues from nutrition, dietetics, public health and industry.

Four main symposia will focus on:

• Biology of aging
• Epidemiology of human aging
• Nutritional modulation of the aging trajectory
• Public health interventions to enhance healthy aging
