EMBO Conference: 'Europhosphatase 2013: Protein Phosphatases in Health and Disease'

Conference - Rehovot, Israel

EMBO Conference on "Europhosphatase 2013: Protein Phosphatases in Health and Disease" focuses on the structure, function, regulation, and physiological roles of protein phosphatases. Protein phosphatases perform specific roles in discrete signaling pathways and play major roles in regulating the functions of proteins, cells, and organisms. Improper phosphatase activity has been linked to many diseases, including cancer, neurologic disease, diabetes, and obesity. Phosphatases are thus appealing potential targets for pharmaceutical intervention.
