IWMMS-2013: International Workshop on Materials Modeling and Simulation

Workshop - Junwani, Bhilai, India

Scientists and engineers are still facing many problems to work ahead in the field of material/nanomaterial-science and technology due to lack of required sophisticated instruments in Chhattisgarh. It is very difficult to establish well-equipped research lab because of its high cost.
Research involving computational modeling and simulation provides an alternative way which is currently being actively pursued, because of its low cost, reliable prediction, and flexibility over multiscale length and time. Computational methods are becoming increasingly important in all areas of science and engineering. Materials Science and Engineering applications range from the theoretical prediction of the electronic and structural properties of materials to chemical kinetics and equilibrium as well as modeling of materials processing operation.

Aims of the Workshop
The workshop aims at the following objectives:
• To exchange the latest state of the art scientific information in the field of Computational Material Science and Nanotechnology.
• To provide a platform to the participants for exchanging the knowledge and viewing the international scenario by interacting with senior scientists of international repute.
• To establish a working relationship and to explore the future research prospects by way of inter-institutional collaborations.
