Webinar: Probiotics, Prebiotics, and the Host Microbiome: The Science of Translation

Webinar - New York City, United States

In the past decade, researchers have observed a strong convergence of prebiotics, probiotics, and the microbiome in areas of host physiology such as the immune system, metabolism, and neurological function. This 1-day conference will serve as a neutral forum to critically examine the potential population-wide economic and public health benefits of translating this research into innovative functional foods and biotherapeutics for a broad spectrum of conditions including obesity, diabetes, inflammatory and gastrointestinal disease, and malnutrition. Participants will apply the rigorous standards of evidence-based medicine and evidence-based nutrition to evaluate and outline novel research and policy strategies to advance the incorporation of prebiotics- and probiotics-based applications to improve public health.
