Understanding the principles of T cell function allows for the potential to manipulate the outcome of hosts with disease. This conference will bring together some of the most talented scientists involved with understanding T cell function and will promote discussions regarding using the information for possible therapeutic intervention. This meeting will also help promote the 100thanniversary of AAI by having some of the best T cell scientists also attend this historic meeting.
This meeting will focus on T cell function (CD4s, CD8s, and Tregs); speakers were chosen based on their expertise in T cell biology. The goal of the meeting will be to share as much about T cell function as possible so that these principles might be applied to enhancing and/or blocking T cell function in hosts with disease.
