Improving Solubility & Formulation of Proteins & Peptides

Seminar - Vienna, Austria

At our Masterclass you will:

- predict protein solubility within in silico methods

- understand the viability of in silico compared with experimental results

- study the physico-chemical mechanisms of insolubility and aggregation

- learn about predictive experiments for solubility and aggregation

- explore formulation and delivery aspects aiming to increase solubility

- gain insights into latest strategies to increase protein solubility and improve efficacy

Solubility and aggregation of peptides and proteins determine their bioavailability and potential for immunogenicity. Therefore, the thorough understanding of solubility and aggregation mechanisms is the basis for a successful formulation development of biomolecules.
Next to peptide and protein intrinsic characteristics also extrinsic factor such as buffer, excipients but also process related impurities and primary packaging material influence the physical behaviour of biomolecules.
