Kyoto Course and Symposium on Bioinformatics for Next Generation Sequencing with Applications in Human Genetics

Course - Kyoto, Japan

Course: The 4-day course will provide a practical introduction to analysis of next generation sequencing data from handling of raw data to applications in study of human disease. As example of analysis techniques, methods to examine exomic sequence and RNA-seq data will be covered in depth. Procedures for submitting and archiving data in public depositories will also be explained. We will illustrate the use of sequence data in combination with methods for mapping disease genes in genetic studies.

Symposium: The course will be followed by a 1-day symposium with invited international speakers to provide perspectives on recent advances in medical genomics. The symposium will be open to the course attendees and others from the scientific community.
