Stem Cells in Cancer and Regenerative Medicine

 Conference - Heidelberg, Germany

This conference will describe the role of stem cells in normal and diseased physiology, as well as the ways in which stem cells can be used for curative ends. The overall aim is to integrate basic, translational and clinical aspects of stem cell research into a single framework.

The goal is to give participants an overview of the model systems, and of the scientific and logistical framework involved in gaining and exploiting basic knowlege of stem cell biology in cancer research and regenerative medicine settings.

Pluripotency

Tissue stem cells

Stem cell specification and transdifferentiation

Niche, signaling and metabolism

Cancer stem cells
