Translational Genomics Pipeline: From Populations to Individuals

Scientific Conference - Hinxton, Cambridge, UK

Wellcome Trust. The Wellcome Trust in association with the European Network of Genetic and Genomic Epidemiology (ENGAGE) and the Public Population Project in Genomics (P3G) is pleased to announce the first joint Summer School: Translational Genomics Pipeline: From Populations to Individuals.

The field of translational genomics is evolving rapidly and the knowledge acquired within (e.g. clinical genomics) is already finding practical applications through advanced diagnostics and pharmacogenomics. However, the path leading from basic discovery to clinical applications poses new challenges on many fronts. The overarching aim of this four day summer school will be to articulate key issues and challenges that arise in the cycle of the clinical translation of results from genomic research and to stimulate discussions exploring potential approaches and solutions.
