51st Annual Rocky Mountain Bioengineering Symposium

Symposium - Denver, CO, United States

Starting in 1963, the RMBS is the oldest, continuously held biomedical engineering symposium in the USA. It was founded by some of the most visionary and historical individuals in the field to promote dialog and exchange of ideas and experiences between attendees, including between professionals and students. Hence, it was appropriately described as a “symposium” rather than a conference. From its beginning as a regional meeting it has grown to a global event regularly attracting attendees from all over the world. Since 1970 it has merged with the ISA Biomedical Sciences Instrumentation Symposium. Submitted papers are peer-reviewed, and those accepted for presentation and publication appear in the yearly issue of Biomedical Sciences Instrumentation journal, an internationally distributed publication by ISA indexed in the major databases including Index Medicus / Medline.

Keeping in line with the goals and traditions of the symposium, submission of papers from individuals around the world is encouraged. However, authors should remember that, if accepted, they are expected to attend the symposium to present their work and to interact with the other attendees.
