Keystone Symposia: Inflammation, Infection and Cancer
Conference - Whistler, British Columbia, Canada
The conference will:
• Cover the latest research on the roles of inflammation and inflammatory cell subtypes in cancer initiation and progression;
• Highlight the latest studies on the targeting of inflammatory cells for cancer therapy, as well as explore the contributions of the host microbiome and infectious agents in eliciting an initial inflammatory response and how that predisposes to specific types of cancer;
• Emphasize the latest results in understanding and therapeutically targeting the functions of different immune cells in the tumor microenvironment through the joint pairing with the meeting on “Immune Evolution in Cancer,” which will share the keynote and three plenary sessions.
Session Topics:
• Inflammation and Immunity in the Tumor Microenvironment (Joint)
• Chronic Inflammation and Cancer
• Infection and Cancer Initiation
• Re-Educating Tumor-Promoting Macrophages (Joint)
• The Impact of the Microbiome on Cancer
• Origin of Myeloid Cells in Physiology and Cancer
• Inflammation as a Target and Modulator of Cancer Therapeutics
• Therapeutic Manipulation of the Tumor Microenvironment (Joint)
