The 2014 Nanotechnology Materials and Devices (NMD)

Workshop - Cincinnati, OH, United States

This intensive single track workshop consists of invited talks and laboratory tours. The workshop covers the synthesis, functionalization, characterization, modeling, post processing, and application of carbon nanostructured materials and devices. The goal of the workshop is to benchmark the current state of the art and develop plans to make breakthroughs in engineering materials and devices based on nanotechnology. The electronic, thermal, and mechanical properties of carbon nanotubes, spun thread and graphene are of particular interest. Applications of nanotechnology and industry needs will be discussed along with strategies for commercializing nanotechnology.

The workshop will provide opportunities to establish cooperative research and to intersect different ideas in order to break down barriers in nanotechnology. There is no individual registration fee. Registration as a sponsor of the workshop is $500 and provides an advertisement in the workshop proceedings and advertisement at the workshop. We ask that no confidential information be presented at the workshop. There is no taping or recording of the presentations. To register for the workshop, please complete the online registration form or register in person at the workshop. The workshop will be held this year in the UC Great Hall of the Tangeman Center Great Hall.
