(J5) Keystone Symposia: Pathogenesis of Respiratory Viruses
Conference - Keystone, CO, United States
The conference will:
• Bring together experts in virology, viral pathogenesis and viral immunity to discuss factors contributing to viral replication, tropism, disease and immunity in the respiratory tract;
• Focus on the commonalities and differences of pathogenesis and host response between the most important respiratory virus pathogens, influenza and RSV, while also covering other virus families;
• Provide opportunities for synergistic interactions through the pairing with a concurrent meeting on “Innate Immunity to Viral Infections,” resulting in a more integrated view of viral disease and immunity.
Session Topics:
• Viral Entry and Replication
• Virus-Host Interactions
• Virus Detection by the Host (Joint)
• Innate Immunity in Pathogenesis
• Induction of Immunity at Epithelial Surfaces (Joint)
• Specific Immunity: The Good and the Bad
• Virulence and Coinfections
• Regulation and Resolution of Inflammation
