The meeting titled ‘Diet, gut microbiology and human health’ seeks to draw together leading experts in the field to present and debate the latest research around the topic of gut microbiology and its role in health. Four main symposia will focus on: The gut microbiome: forming the microbiome and modern approaches to its study Changes in the microbiome in disease and lifecourse Diet and gut metabolism: linking microbiota to beneficial products of fermentation Manipulating the microbiome: health and therapeutic opportunities The programme will also include Original Communications, the Cuthbertson Medal Lecture, a Rank Lecture and a networking event.
