4th Annual Symposium in Computational Biology & Innovation

Symposium - Belfield, Dublin, Ireland

The PhD Symposium in Computational Biology & Innovation 2013, organised by PhD students enrolled in the Wellcome Trust funded Computational Infection Biology PhD programme and Systems Biology Ireland funded PhD programmes at UCD, aims to facilitate knowledge exchange among young researchers and academics alike from various research areas of computational biology in Ireland and abroad.

This PhD symposium will showcase the thriving local research and scientific community that is present at UCD and in Dublin to Irish and international academic researchers and industrial companies. It will also feature internationally renowned keynote speakers from a wide range of fields within the sphere of computational biology to present their research. As well as this, industrial representatives will be invited to deliver technical presentations to highlight the cutting edge technology available to researchers.

Postgraduate students will be granted the opportunity to showcase their research in an interdisciplinary scientific environment through poster sessions and selected oral presentations. This unique opportunity will allow young researchers to present their research, to foster academic and industry collaborations and to build scientific contacts with leading companies in the field.
