We are pleased to announce the eighth Cold Spring Harbor winter conference this year which will begin on Wednesday evening, December 4, 2013 and end at noon on Saturday, December 7. The aims of this meeting are to review progress in genomics-enabled analyses of the major plant groups and their enemies under the motto "Plant Genomics:What's Next?", with topics ranging from biodiversity and epigenetics to new approaches to plant breeding including genetical genomics and synthetic biology, to next-generation cell biology. The conference will feature a mix of invited speakers drawn from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences. 

The format of the meeting will include six oral sessions and one poster session. Each oral session will include invited speakers and speakers selected from submitted abstracts. For this reason, abstracts from accomplished junior and senior investigators are warmly invited.
