Asian Regional Conference on Systems Biology (ARCSB) 2013
Conference - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
The Asian Regional Conference on Systems Biology 2013 (ARCSB 2013) will be the second regional gathering on systems biology research in the Asian region since the first meeting in year 2010. This meeting is organised by the Institute of Systems Biology (INBIOSIS), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. This year, the meeting will be focusing on three main sessions, namely the Human, Plant and Cell Systems Biology. There will also be a session about the past, present and future perspective on the regional development of systems biology research
Systems biology integrates high throughput data acquisition to computational analysis. This has markedly increased our capacity to interrogate and understand biology as a complete system rather than isolated biochemical reactions. Networking has been a crucial component of systems biology at both the molecular level and human interactions. This biannual event will gather around 200 local and international researchers who are involved in systems biology and allow discussions on the latest research developments. The collaborations between multidisciplinary groups of scientists will serve to be an important enabler for the practice of systems biology. The aim of the meeting is therefore to establish a firm foothold for systems biology in this region via networking and the sharing of ideas catalysed by the participation of internationally renowned researchers in this field.
