The theme of the symposium will be focused on “Revisiting paradigms in innate immunity”, offering the unique opportunity a forum for exchanging ideas between disparate research communities.
The meeting aims to bring together leading specialists in areas of allergy, microbial pathogenesis, immunology, cancerology and metabolism to discuss the most cutting edge breakthroughs on the versatility of our innate immune system and on an adaptation mechanism through which the problem pathogen manages to evade host defense. The program is shaped in five sessions to encompass of broad range of topics highlighting how innate immunity contributes not only to discrimination of microorganisms and to maintenance of commensalism, but also to progression of common human illnesses with increasing socio-economic impacts, such as asthma, Crohn’s disease, metabolic disorder and colorectal cancer.
