Internationally recognized speakers will talk on topics which will include metabolic links to cancer, obesity and diabetes, oncogenic drivers and vulnerabilities in altered cancer cell metabolism, the metformin paradox – biguanides and energy metabolism, and metabolism-based cancer therapies. Following the lively panel discussion in 2012, the 2014 panel topic will be ‘Is cancer preventable?’ chaired by Gregory Petsko.
