Science Researcher Update: Spotlight on Meetings, Conferences, and Events

9th International Conference on Predictive Modelling in Food

Posted on Jun 24, 2015 2:23:00 AM

Conference - Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

The 9th ICPMF Conference aims to discuss food quality and safety issues faced globally through quantitative approaches encompassing predictive and risk modelling. The conference has a great focus on the practical impacts that predictive and risk modelling can have on food industries and public health throughout the world. The potential of omics technologies to improve our understanding of microbial behaviour in foods and even how models are built will also be approached.
The 9th ICPMF aims to boost interactions between academia and industry in order to allow innovations driven by predictive and risk models to be built in. The conference expects to bring together the food industry, researchers, professors, young scientists, government agencies and students to discuss the most relevant subjects in the field and to advance the dissemination and further application of predictive and risk modelling to improve food quality and safety, aiming to safeguard public health and enhance the microbial stability of foods.
