Science Researcher Update: Spotlight on Meetings, Conferences, and Events

16th Ataxia-Telangiectasia Workshop in conjunction with 6th International Symposium on DNA Damage Response & Human Disease

Posted on Jul 24, 2015 9:58:40 AM

Workshop - Beijing, China

The International Ataxia-Telangiectasia Workshops (ATW) have been held every few years since 1980. The meeting is unique in that it focuses comprehensively on the various facets of A-T, the disease, and ATM function. Meetings have been located in different parts of the world and organized by volunteers from those locations. This serves to recognize their leadership in A-T/ATM research and allows local young investigators to attend and participate who might otherwise not have that opportunity. The annual international symposium on DNA Damage Response & Human Disease (isDDRHD) was initiated by Dr. Xingzhi Xu (Capital Normal University, Beijing, China) and Dr. Zhao-Qi Wang (Fritz Lipmann Institute, Jena, Germany) and organised by the Beijing Key Laboratory of DNA Damage Response in 2010. The 16th ATW in conjunction with the 6th isDDRHD will be held in Beijing, China, on Oct. 11-14th, 2015. Beijing Key Laboratory of DNA Damage Response and Capital Normal University will the the host, and Drs. Xingzhi (Xavier) Xu and Zhao-Qi Wang will be the co-oganizers.
Up to 10 submitted abstracts will be selected for oral presentation. Up to 10 travel awards (US$500 each) and 6 poster awards (US$200 each) will be given away
