2012 Life Science R & D Expenditures: 85th Ranked = $124,996,000 [1]

2013 NIH Funding: 138th ranked= $30,203,698 [2]

Colorado State University received a $3 million, five-year grant from the National Science Foundation to study Biodiversity in Face of Climate Change, specifically how temperature and weather affect stream life differently in temperate and tropical climates. [3]

Colorado State University assistant professor of biochemistry Santiago Di Pietro, received a four year $985,000 grant from the National Science Foundation to study how cells take up materials such as proteins from outside their plasma membranes. [4]

Colorado State University was awarded a $500,000 grant from the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke within the National Institutes of Health to study proteins linked to Alzheimer’s disease. [5]
