Trends and Challenges in Viral Clearance Studies

Seminar - Gaithersburg, Maryland, United States

You are invited to a complimentary seminar and reception that will delve into the current trends and common challenges in viral clearance studies. Join us as we explore the industry direction involving regulations, high titer and highly purified virus stocks. We will also examine future developments in the design and evaluation of viral clearance studies, and share best practices and how to overcome common challenges through our case studies. To demonstrate some current industry options, life science supplier EMD Millipore will join us to discuss their new TrueSpike™ technology.

Studies designed to demonstrate the capacity of a manufacturing process to inactivate or remove viruses and transmissible spongiform encephalopathy (TSE) agents are required by regulatory authorities for animal- or human-derived products (e.g., cell cultures) as an integral part of any submission report prior to administration of the product in humans.
