Conference - Dhulikhel, Nepal
On behalf of Scientific Coordinating Committee, It is my pleasure to invite you to participate in this International Conference on “Recent Trends in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a theme transferring knowledge from Education to Practice” scheduled to take place in Nepal from 25 - 26 February 2012 at Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel, Nepal. This conference aims to prepare a roadmap for future pharmacists and make them aware of current scenarios and future opportunities in pharmaceutical sciences.
Pharmacy and pharmaceutical science education and practice have seen tremendous changes in the orientation of curriculum and practice in past few decades. There exists more challenges than solutions in terms of harmonisation of pharmacy education and practice globally. We are familiar with a saying “one size does not fit all” however we have seen that basic pharmacy curriculum always attempts to balance global and local need owing to global work force mobility. We have seen wide diversity and gaps in the status of our professional practice in various countries especially between developing and developed countries. So this conference aims to focus on the issues like pharmacy curriculum, its impact on pharmacy practice in various domain of our profession such as hospital, community, industry and regulatory affairs.
