Workshop - London, United Kingdom

This one day workshop, run by the European Bioinformatics Institute and Cellular and Molecular Theme Leader, Dr Bernard Corfe, is designed to make use of freely available open-source specific bioinformatics databases, containing data on ontology of chemical entities. The first part of the day introduces delegates to the database held by the European Bioinformatics Institute. The second part provides an overview on the use of publicly available enzyme portals, such as IntEnz, Rhea, BRENDA and React. Tutorials will be followed by exercises to explore functionality, extract data and search for experiments on tissue, cell or nutrient of interest, so all delegates will leave with practical experience of the tools taught.

All delegates are requested to bring their own laptops to fully participate in the practical session.
