Conference - Cambridge, United Kingdom

Wellcome Trust Scientific Conferences in association with the Biochemical Society is pleased to announce the 76th Harden Conference: Total Transcription.Transcription is a complex process essential to all life. Our understanding of this fundamental process has improved greatly. Information at the molecular level can now be integrated into global regulatory networks, bringing a comprehensive picture of gene expression within our reach. However, the molecular mechanisms of transcription, the temporal and spatial regulation of transcription, and crucial signalling and organisational events are not well understood.

This residential meeting will bring together leading researchers in structural and molecular biology, biophysics, genetics, computational modelling, and systems and synthetic biology.

Programme
The programme will focus on the latest developments in all three domains of life across the following areas:
RNA polymerase structure and function
• Diversity of transcription machinery
• Progression through the transcription cycle
• Noncoding RNAs and pervasive transcription
• Coupled processes and collisions
• Transcription regulation at the systems level
• Visualization of transcription

Organization: Wellcome Trust
