Conference - Berlin, Germany

The Molecular Cancer Research Center (MKFZ) and the Medical Department, Division of Hematology, Oncology and Tumor Immunology of the Charité organize the international conference “From Omics to Novel Therapies in Cancer” on May 23-24, 2014 in cooperation with the Max Delbrueck Center for Molecular Medicine Berlin (MDC) at the Berlinische Galerie. The meeting is chaired by Prof. Dr. Clemens A. Schmitt and Prof. Dr. Claus Scheidereit.

The topic of this conference represents one of the most urgent ones in cancer research: using omics-based analyses with regard to tumor heterogeneity to gain new and effective therapy concepts, as the majority of targeted therapy approaches still do not work in the clinic, even though the results gained in the lab are very promising. Thus, addressing this missing link between multiple omics-based analyses of the tumor’s “fingerprint” and effective therapy development represents the main goal of the conference.
