Green Chem Market Opens as Researchers Seek Greener Products

Posted by BCI Staff on Wed, Dec 05, 2012

As you may know, researchers are becoming more aware of the environment and are looking for greener products to use in their bioscience research so that they can reduce their level of environmental impact.

Many universities are spending a lot of money to make their buildings and campus research facilities greener. (See CEEM tag below.) With this new green campaign, university researchers and administrators are spending more on greener laboratory consumables, chemicals, instruments and services. With this in mind, Biotechnology Calendar, Inc.™ is introducing a new series of green chemical events held at top universities nationwide. With these green life science events, laboratory suppliers can gain higher visibility and brand awareness for their green laboratory products.

Many researchers are more environmentally aware than they were in the past, and they have an understanding of the negative effects chemicals can have on nature. In fact, scientists are changing how they do research, which creates a market for greener laboratory products. In many cases, scientists are choosing environmentally friendly products over traditional products to use in their research.

Our upcoming green chemical events will be held in conjunction with our traditional lab product shows, which include our: Biotechnology Vendor Showcase™ Life Science Tradeshows, BioResearch Product Faire™ Life Science Tradeshows and BioResearch Product Faire Front Line Events™.

In 2013, these green chemistry shows will be held  at the following research institutions:
